Preparation
We will remove (as appropriate) blinds, window treatments, wall and
ceiling fixtures, electrical and cable outlet covers.
Any furniture will be moved to the middle of the room and covered to
protect it against dust and paint spillage. All floor coverings (carpet,
vinyl, hardwood, etc.) will be covered with paint-proof drop cloths
as well.
Cleaning and Repair
We patch cracks or holes, and sand the surface so it will be smooth.
Our crew alos lightly sands all wooden surface allowing the paint
to stick better. Than we wash the walls and ceilings to remove dust
and other particles that otherwise would not allow the new paint to
stick.
When the surfaces are dry stains and water marks will be sealed and
any gaps in the trim will be caulked.
Painting
For the painting phase, we always use the best quality paints available
( Benjamin Moore, Sherwin-Williams
). We'll also use the appropriate tools (short or long brushes,
rollers, etc.) to provide consistent coverage and exactly match the
color you selected.
If you decided to use a deep color (bright red, dark blue, etc.),
all surfaces will be completely primed prior to painting them. This
will ensure that the paint has a fully finished color.
Setup
Once the paint is dry, the blinds, window treatments, wall and
ceiling fixtures, electrical and cable outlet covers will be placed
back as they were.
The drop-clothes will be moved to the next area to be painted and
the furniture moved back to its original place.
Then, floors will be swept, carpets cleaned and any garbage removed
from the area that was just finished.
Inspection
On the last day of the job, we'll do a walkthrough together to ensure
that all areas we worked on were painted to your satisfaction.
Final touchups are done immediately or scheduled for the following
day,
The leftover paint will be labeled and left with you in case you
need to retouch a spot in the future.
